Newfoundland trio goes back to the roots of rock and roll.
From the loud and heavy baselines to the moody vocals, The Novaks show they have real potential as an up-and-coming rock and roll band in Canada. The Newfoundland-based trio goes back to the basics of rock in Things Fall Apart with influences from the Rolling Stones in the way they play simplistic rock. Overall, the sound is enjoyable, but their sophomore album can get repetitive with the same heavy bassline and loud drum loops in almost every song. Although this is a solid rock record, The Novaks may want to do some soul searching to find their own sound for the next album.
