Infamous indie rock group returns with much anticipated new album.

The long awaited new album from indie rock group Stars is definitely not another Set Yourself on Fire; instead, The Five Ghosts is an entirely new concept for the band and the fans. For many fans, the new album will be a real hit and miss, with tracks suggesting strong influences from artists such as Metric, She & Him and Goldfrapp. Much more pop-influenced and mainstream than past Stars efforts, this album replaces what fans have come to know as a classic Stars sound with techno beats and weak lyrics, as is observed in tracks such as We Don’t Want Your Body and How Much More. Avid fans should keep this in mind when listening to the album to avoid being disappointed.
