The Script delivers a repeat performance.
Two and a half years after their self-titled debut, this genre-blurring Irish trio returns to the music scene with their signature style. In fact, the band sticks so closely to their (albeit, successful) formula, that many of the tracks are interchangeable with songs from the first album. That said, The Script’s expertly combined mixture of soft rock, pop, R&B, soul and heartfelt lyrics work well. Standout tracks include For the First Time, which explores a gritty love affair in times of financial desperation, and Science and Faith, which struggles with the relationship between rationality and emotional love.
Emily's Fave Track: This = Love
All About Love
The Script is definitely one of the most heartbroken bands around. Their style is phenomenal, their music is catchy, but they need to find themselves some more reliable girls. Because every song in that album is about love or failed love. Every. Single. One. Don't believe me? Check it out.
Don't get me wrong, I love their fast paced songs and tricky lyrics. And I listen to them all the time. But can't they try to write about something new? If they did, they would probably end up with one of their best songs yet.
Sweet
never heard the music, but awesome title!
