Local Edmonton band makes a daring comeback.

The latest release, Caught Up in the Excess, by Alberta’s Tupelo Honey is definitely something to test drive. With Dan Davidson now starring on vocals, the band has jumped forward and come out with a CD filled with goodies. Heavy guitar riffs and soaring melodies bring the songs to life. From piano and violins to drums and bass, every instrument adds another aspect to the tracks. The album does drag at times with a couple of mediocre songs. The real treat on this CD is the acoustic tracks, which give their heavier versions a refreshing feel.
