The Veronicas: Hook Me Up

Australian twins take the world by storm.

With their second album, Australian pop star twins Jessica and Lisa Origliasso make an international name for themselves with Hook Me Up. On first listen, these upbeat, catchy pop tracks blur into one another, but by the second or third spin, the collection becomes completely addictive, and individual songs become very memorable. The album as a whole has a strong “female-attitude” theme, and is obviously intended for mainly a female target audience. Despite this, the album is very well done, and touches on a variety of true emotional and life issues with a strong confident touch, and a good dance beat.
