Modern country music superstar Keith Urban wowed the audience in Calgary as part of his Get Closer world tour, celebrating the release of his newest record by that name.
Fans flocked to the Scotiabank Saddledome to catch a glimpse of Keith’s contagious energy and catchy tunes. From his upbeat opening number Put You In A Song to the last song of his encore Better Life, there was hardly a body in the room that could sit still.
What’s really great about watching Keith Urban in concert is that he always tries to get the fans involved; he was reading signs out loud in every section, and giving people high-fives as he ran through the excited crowd. I was lucky enough to be one of those people… and I’m still swooning! But perhaps the greatest move was going up into the stands (way up to the second seating level) to sing You Look Good In My Shirt, and giving his autographed guitar to a very lucky young lady.
Throughout the show, Keith encouraged the audience to sing along, and during his supercharged happy love song Kiss A Girl, invited three people on stage from the floor to sing with him. It is clear that Keith Urban wants to make his concerts a night that nobody will forget, and all I can say is, mission accomplished!
All in all, Keith Urban is one performer you won’t want to miss whenever he tours, because no matter what the circumstances are that night, you’re guaranteed to have a blast rocking out with country music’s favourite Australian.
