Reliable, easy listening.
Like my dad’s Datsun back in university, The Datsuns have a certain reliable quality about them. There is an old school rock feeling evident throughout their album Headstunts, but the band still gives off a new, fresh vibe as well – with their new drummer Ben Cole providing the toe tapping backbeats, it’s hard to stay sitting still while listening to this album. It’s just that catchy! Despite the good mix of beats and tempos, some songs fade together, making many tracks unmemorable. But if you’re looking for a good time and an easy ride, Headstunts is your album.
