Acres of Lions: Work

3 stars

An album perfect for reminiscing.

It seems as though the love child of Taking Back Sunday and Silversun Pickups has emerged in Victoria under the name of Acres of Lions. On the band’s new album, "Work", the constructive use of keyboard and soft guitar licks are accompanied by the entrancing vocals of lead singer Jeff Kalesnikoff, which give the slower songs (such as "Entertainment" and "Working") a nostalgic feeling. Acres of Lions are soothing to listen to; but, unfortunately, the somewhat formulaic pop-punk songs start to become indistinguishable from one another after the third or fourth song into the album.

Sarah's fave track: "Entertainment"
