Week one of voting for BC’s Best Teen Band Contest is over and here's where the bands stand as of Tuesday, January 24th.

Voting continues until February 20th, so if your favourite isn’t in the Top 3, it’s time to start voting at bandcontest.youthink.ca! Or make sure your favourite stays in the Top 3 by voting every day at bandcontest.youthink.ca! Every vote counts!

The Top 3 finalists will compete live at Electric Owl in Vancouver on April 28th, 2012 for the title of BC’s Best Teen Band. A panel of industry judges will determine the winner and the first-place band will receive amazing prizes including:

  • $2,000 for artist development
  • A recording session with Jay Evjen of Juicemix Productions at Greenhouse Studios
  • A songwriting session with Shaun Verreault of Wide Mouth Mason
  • Gift certificates from Long & McQuade
  • The May/June cover of Youthink magazine

Youthink launched the third annual BC’s Best Teen Band Contest in October 2011, with over $20,000 of cash and prizes up for grabs. The competition gives young musicians from across the province a chance to showcase their music, connect with key players in the music industry and learn how to advance their music careers.
