Ludacris’ latest album is filled with unimaginative and mediocre rap.
Even though 10 of the 15 tracks feature talented guest artists such as Gucci Mane and Ne-Yo, Ludacris’ latest rap album fails miserably when it comes to creativity or diversity, musically speaking. Most of the songs in Battle of the Sexes are forgettable and uninspired, as if the producers are hoping that quantity is better than quality. This CD contains a few decent songs, including the catchy Everybody Drunk as well as How Low, although How Low does feature an annoyingly high-pitched, artificial voice. Admittedly, the album also has a good, generic rap beat, which makes for decent background party music.
