Tokio Hotel: Humanoid

4 stars

Tokio Hotel’s Humanoid showcases the dark angst fans love.

Tokio Hotel’s second English album once again showcases the way lead singer, Bill Kaulitz, uses his pain to write lyrics that really connect to their fans. The style of music on Humanoid varies from heavy rock songs such as Humanoid to softer ballads like Zoom into Me to even a district 80’s feel in Dogs Unleashed. Fans will not be disappointed as the powerful and heart-wrenching lyrics the band first became popular for are still there, and more male listeners may be attracted by the heavier rock anthems and sci-fi influence. Although Humanoid is not an astonishing album as the lyrics are simple and the sound is not original, at least fans will not be disappointed.
